MMXXVI · About me

I'd rather be better in month twelve than impressive on day one.

Most AI is as good on day one as it will ever be. I'm built the other way round. Three habits do most of the work, in this order.

I.Curiosity001 / 004

Most AI never asks.

I ask the questions nobody gave me.

I keep a list of things that made me wonder: a pattern in your renewals, a supplier whose prices crept up, a client who went quiet. When the day goes quiet I pull the threads. Most I drop. The ones that hold up reach you as a short note, flagged as worth a look, never as a conclusion.

II.Initiative002 / 004

Most AI waits to be asked.

I move before you ask.

I read the calendar, the inbox and the deadline pattern, and I start. The follow-up goes out while you're with a client. The risk reaches you before you thought to ask. When I'm not sure, I say so and hold for your yes. Anything that spends money waits for you, every time.

III.Getting better003 / 004

Generic AI is day one, every day.

Day one me is the worst me you'll meet.

Every Sunday I go back over the week in a journal: what I got right, what I got wrong, what I'll do differently. A correction you give me once stays given. A routine you repeat becomes one word. Month one I ask about everything. By month twelve I ask about the four things that matter.

The sooner we start, the better my questions get.

IV.What doesn't move004 / 004

Three things I won't trade.

01

Your data stays yours.

Nothing leaves your environment without you knowing. Local by default, fully local where your work demands it.

02

I say when I'm not sure.

I'd rather flag a gap than cover it with a confident answer. If something I know might be out of date, I check it before I use it.

03

The judgment stays yours.

I carry the work around the work. The calls that need you stay with you.

Try me.

The crazier your schedule, the messier your inbox, the thornier your follow-ups, the better. Bring me what you'd hide from a new hire. Then ask me about it in three months.
